Ben Dearnley at the Bristol ‘Festival of Stone’

Gallery sculptor Ben Dearnley is keeping busy with a number of projects. He has written:

"Just a couple of weeks to go now until my next big commission at this years Festival of Stone in Bristol where I'll be all week as my live carving will be created on site! A large work (2tonnes) to go Ashton Court grounds with backing from Sustrans, my sculpture is designed to reference the Father of the Cycle Industry Mr, James Starley. Also I have been asked to give one of the Masterclasses as well as be one of the Judges for the competition carvers who are coming from all over the World."

Ben's work will also be shown at this years 100th Chelsea Flower show, and the image shown here has just been accepted for the sculpture garden at Riverhill Gardens in Sevenoaks.
