Pablo Picasso remains one of the most important figures of the 20th century and arguably the most well-known name in modern art. Born in 1881, Picasso spent his early years in his birth country of Spain but lived the majority of his adult life working as an artist in France until his death in 1973.
Over a span of over 50 years, demonstrating his distinct style and eye for artistic creation, Picasso produced an enormous body of work as a painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright.
