Ed Sheeran is an era-defining artist who extends his creativity beyond music into visual art. In 2020, he used one of his early paintings as the official artwork for his single Afterglow, showcasing how seamlessly painting fits into his creative process.

Sheeran’s venture into visual art grew from the conviction that painting could open doors for others. In 2025, with support from Damien Hirst, he publicly showcased original works and limited editions in London, and a successful event raised money for his charitable foundation, which provides inclusive music education for children. “I loved the idea of art funding art,” he said.

The Cosmic Carpark Paintings offered the public their first chance to collect his original artworks and edition prints. Inspired by celestial patterns and his expressionist splash painting style, he created the debut collection in a disused London car park, mid‑tour between international dates on his Mathematics Tour.
