Based in Bordeaux, France, David Eley’s work hangs in many private and public collections both in the UK and the USA.
His subject matter is varied, ranging from golf and fishing to vineyards and the famous Savoy Hotel. As an artist of more than 28 years, Eley is best known for his paintings depicting wine and food subjects. Eley has concentrated on fine wine since 1995, painting classic vineyards and gastronomic subjects mostly for private clients, interspersed with occasional maps. Since his original introduction to the upper echelons of French winemaking, he has gained privileged access to the winemaker’s world.
