Thomson’s latest sculpture came about following a beach trip where Thomson spent time looking at the sunset and sketching a cloud. Sculpted in a cloudy grey marble, this sculpture weighs approximately 60kg

In a statement regarding this artwork, Thomson writes:
‘On the beach, watching the sunset I spotted a cloud formation that I liked. I sketched it and developed an idea for a sculpture. Shortly after I obtained a batch of marble and as chance would have it, it included a piece of cloudy grey and white marble from Colonata of good proportions for my design.
