About This Work

A generous donor who purchased this piece – ‘Impressions of Africa Colour’ when it was first launched, has donated it to our gallery charity, The Sebastian Hunter Memorial Trust.
The donor vowed to donate it to the charity if Liverpool FC ever won the UEFA Champions League again.
Well, this year they ended their 14 year losing streak and won… so this delightful and very collectible piece is available with 100% of the sale benefitting the charity.
The Sebastian Hunter Memorial Trust.

‘Impressions of Africa’, displays the imprints of the hands of children affected by HIV surround that of Nelson Mandela’s left hand. This significant work signals one of Mr Mandela’s most favoured topics, children and the future. The colours are those of Africa, warm browns and rusts, reminiscent of arid landscapes. This work serves as a reminder to all of us about the importance of looking after the next generations. Every Nelson Mandela work sold by Belgravia Gallery has a Certificate of Authenticity from the gallery.
