Charities

Belgravia Gallery is committed to raising funds for the following charities through the sale of fine art and photography.

HRH The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Foundation

Over the past 17 years we are honoured to have been associated with His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales’s Signed Lithographs of his watercolours. To date, the Charitable Foundation has received approximately £4 million from the sale of the lithographs.

The Sebastian Hunter Memorial Trust

The Trust was started in 2002 to commemorate the life of Sebastian who died tragically. In his memory, numerous educational projects have been funded by Belgravia Gallery, with the general aim of supporting the rural poor through schools and childcare initiatives. The most recent was Sebastian Hunter High School at Arni in Tamil Nadu, a secondary school for 600 pupils opened in February 2007.

Some 6000 pupils a day currently use the facilities provided by the Trust. We intend to expand this through sales of artwork including those by Nelson Mandela. Poverty in India affects some 600 million people, and education is the most important instrument of change.

Other initiatives include support for sufferers of HIV, a mother and child care centre, Seb’s School, a primary school in Tamil Nadu, resource centres, computer rooms and science facilities at a number of schools, a workshop for women in a village hit by the Tsunami, teacher’s training and amenities in schools.

Nicro UK Trust

NICRO is dedicated to creating a safe South Africa by providing constructive solutions to breaking the cycle of crime and violence. NICRO believes in reconciliation and healing, building a democratic society and strengthening a human rights culture. NICRO offers developmental and therapeutic programmes for offenders, their families and victims. These are life changing programmes that can have a great impact on crime reduction in South Africa.

The NICRO Diversion Youth Development Programme, helps to turn around the lives of young offenders by steering them away from the formal criminal justice system by making use of alternative sentencing options that will prevent them from re-offending. NICRO’s programmes allow high risk youth the opportunity of learning new skills and competencies and gaining significant insights.
